Green Blades Garden Club decorates TFAC, Hospice House for the holidays

The Green Blades Garden Club has been spreading the beauty and joy of Christmas around Tryon, representatives said.

Every year for 49 years, Green Blades has decorated Christmas trees for the Tryon Fine Arts Center, a longstanding tradition by members, who decorate in cold or snowy weather.  The tree and wreaths in front of Tryon Fine Arts Center light up Melrose Avenue.

The Park on Trade is adorned with wreaths and bows.

Green Blades understands that, for some families, Christmas is not so merry and bright. At Hospice House in Landrum, members decorated three trees, in the front entrance, chapel and family room. Outside are large wreaths and planters decked with live greens and berries.

This year, as in years past, Green Blades Garden Club has supported a Foster Children Christmas gift program. Members’ generosity has raised over $715.

Green Blades’ community Christmas projects are its way of celebrating the holiday and giving the gift of Christmas spirit.
