Published 8:00 am Wednesday, November 28, 2018
Door of Hope will open its doors for the community during its Italian banquet dinner on Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Foothills Community Chapel, 2720 Landrum Road, Columbus.
The community is invited to enjoy a meal and learn about the local mission and its future goals and current testimonies. Live music will be presented by the Jameson Road Band.
The dinner, live music and event are free, but tickets must be requested ahead of time by contacting the Door of Hope office at 828-859-0126 or emailing mail@doorofhopeministry.com by Nov. 30.
A free-will offering will also be received during the evening.
Door of Hope has been operating in Columbus since 1999. This counseling ministry has grown to include multiple branches of mission work.
One of its most successful missions is called the Hannah House, which is a safe haven for young women from all over the country, who come and stay for a short time in Green Creek. House parents, a Hannah House counselor, the Door of Hope secretary and the girls themselves all stay in the cabins located on the Hannah House property.
