More kudos to Scott and Gayle Lane!
We love the newly renovated Tryon Theatre, with all its enhancements and the irresistible films that are offered.
As a theater lover and a Tryon Little Theater season ticket holder and firm supporter, I invite other theater lovers to take advantage of Tryon Theatre offering “National Theatre Live” (from London) on a regular basis.
Live performances are filmed, giving you the best seat in the house. Available for one performance only, watch for announcements in the Bulletin.
Recently, I’ve seen “Hamlet,” and the other night I saw a brilliant production of Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein.”
We don’t have to dress for the theater and we don’t have far to commute. And what fun it is to discuss the production in the lobby or on the street below the marque after the show.
When I email my children in the foreign countries in which the work about what I’ve seen on the screen and heard at TFAC or TLT or elsewhere, their response is always one of amazement and delight at the superb and diverse offerings of art that are available to us in our small county.
We have been gifted a good life here in Polk County! Let’s take advantage of it.
