For many people, the holidays are not happy or joyous, cheerful or jolly.
The season can bring stress, anxiety and depression.
To help individuals who suffer rather than celebrate, Senior Life Solutions is offering “Hope for the Holidays,” an outreach program designed to help people deal with negative emotions and stress during the season of family and festivities.
Free and open to the public, “Hope for the Holidays” will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, in the community room at Isothermal Community College, Polk Campus, at 1255 W. Mills St., Columbus. Sponsored by St. Luke’s Hospital’s Senior Life Solution, “Hope for the Holidays” will be presented by Travis Smith, executive director of Blue Ridge Hope.
Refreshments will be served. Reservations are requested by calling 828-894-9890.
