The Tryon Garden Club will honor area veterans with free admission to Pearson’s Falls on Monday.

Members want to recognize and thank them for their service to the country, club representatives said.

Pearson’s Falls is a botanical preserve and 90-foot waterfall located on Highway 176 between Tryon and Saluda.

A quarter-mile trail follows rushing Colt Creek up through the glen to the falls. Along the trail there are many benches, picnic tables, covered shelters and a green restroom.

Pearson’s Falls and Glen is open seven days a week at 10 a.m. The closing time at Pearson’s Falls is now 5 p.m., with last admittance is 4 p.m.

As the days get shorter and dusk arrives sooner, the park needs to close earlier for the safety of its visitors. The park will be closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Day and the month of January.

Pearson’s Falls is located off Highway 176, south of Saluda at 2748 Pearson’s Falls Road, Saluda.

Admission is charged. Service dogs only. No wading or climbing on the rocks.
