Bowl For Kids’ Sake, the largest annual fundraising event for Big Brothers Big Sisters, will take place Saturday at Autumn Lanes in Forest City.

The celebratory event will culminate two months of efforts by program staff and volunteer council members to generate local support for their youth mentoring programs. As a result, BBBS is gearing up for their annual bowling fundraiser with support from the community.

To participate, teams of three to five members solicit pledges or find a sponsor for their team to join the celebration. Team members bowl two free games; get a free T-shirt, pizza and beverage; and are eligible to win a door prize. Those who raise the most pledges will receive top recognition and awards.

Online fundraising is available to simplify individual requests. This year’s pirate theme encourages participants to wear a costume and be eligible for a special prize.
