At the Oct. 11 meeting of the Rotary Club of Tryon, representatives from Rotary District 7670 were present to announce that local Rotarian Ken Shull has been selected as district governor for Rotary year 2021-2022. As district governor, Shull will provide leadership and guidance for the 48 Rotary Clubs throughout western North Carolina. He is only the second district governor from the Tryon club since it was chartered in 1927. The other was Joseph W. Wells, for Rotary year 1972-73. When the announcement was made, a loud applause and standing ovation was given by the Rotarians present. Pictured are Tryon Rotary President Fred Hartley; Rotary District 7670 officers Bill Biddle, David Wechtel and Tiffany Ervin; and Heidi and Ken Shull. (Submitted by Bill Hillhouse)
