At the recent annual meeting and luncheon of the Second Wind Hall of Fame, the organization was pleased to award a continuing education scholarship to Beth Blanton of Mill Spring. This scholarship is given to individuals who are currently in the work place, who are at least high school graduates, and who exhibit exemplary personal qualities.
Beth is employed by the Polk County school system as the after school director at Sunny View school. She has enrolled at Western Carolina University in order to complete her degree in early childhood education. She looks forward to the time when she can teach full time. Second Wind is thrilled to offer funds to help her on this journey.
