Richard “Dick” H. Brown, 83, of Saluda, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 3, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his family following a long illness.

Born in Buffalo, New York, on Nov. 22, 1934, he was the son of the late Herbert and Mildred Le Valley Brown.

Mr. Brown worked his entire career in the auto body profession and retired from Stott’s Ford, Tryon, in 2001.

Mr. Brown and his wife moved to Saluda in 1971, coming from Davie, Florida.

Mr. Brown was a loving husband, father, grandfather and most of all, he lived a Christian life.

Surviving is his loving wife of 49 years, Carol Kresa Brown; one son, Ricky Brown (Angie); two daughters, Jennifer Herbert and Linda Barton (Matthew); and two grandchildren, Caleb and Katey Brown.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, at the family’s home.
