Riddle-Gramling marriage

Laura Jane Riddle and Phillip Hayes Gramling were married Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018, in Gramling, South Carolina.

The ceremony was held in the sanctuary of Gramling United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jim Dennis officiating the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Cynthia Broom Riddle, of Gramling, South Carolina, and John Riddle, of Greenville, South Carolina. She is the granddaughter of Opal Broom of Six Mile, South Carolina, Mr. and Mrs. John Douglas Riddle Jr. of Taylors, South Carolina, and the late Hase Broom of Six Mile.  

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Martin Gramling III of Charleston, South Carolina. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Gramling, II, of Gramling, Mable Phillips of Wellford, South Carolina, and the late John Phillips of Wellford.

Audra Lea Bettinelli, of New Orleans, Louisiana, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Also attending the bride were Keyonna Patrice Brown, Jessica Rose Herzog, both of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Jennifer Prince Fenske, of Greenville, South Carolina.

Ben Martin Gramling III, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Ben Martin Gramling IV, Robertson Lane Gramling and Kyle Christopher Weiland, all of Charleston.

Ushers were Jerome Bettinelli , brother in law of the bride, of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Phillip Bodway, friend of the groom, from Greenville.  

Musicians Jeanette Bates Kuhn and James Asbury Arrington played violin and cello.  

The bride graduated from Anderson University, and received her master’s degree in library and information science from the University of South Carolina. She is currently employed as reference librarian at the Cynthia Graham Hurd Branch/St. Andrews Regional Library of the Charleston Library System.

The groom is a graduate of Anderson University and is currently employed as property manager with Gramling Brothers Real Estate and Development, Charleston.
