Polk sweeps Mountain Heritage to cap perfect conference season

Polk County finished a perfect run through the Western Highlands Conference on Wednesday, sweeping Mountain Heritage 9-0 in girls tennis play in Burnsville.
The Wolverines finished their second straight undefeated WHC record with the sweep, completing their regular season with an 11-4 overall record, including 8-0 in conference matches.
The Wolverines dominated the day’s action, with Virginia Rostick’s 11-9 win at No. 4 singles the closest contest of the afternoon.
Polk County will take part Tuesday in the WHC postseason tournament at Owen.
