Dr. Robert W. Cahoon

Dr. Robert Wells Cahoon, 63, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 at his home.

He was the son of the late Wilber Grove Cahoon and the late Kate Chapman Cahoon.  He was the husband of Edith Z. Cahoon. 

Robert was a family physician and veterinarian who took up saddle fitting in his spare time. He loved animals of all kinds.

He was very mechanically inclined and could fix anything from a weed-eater to a Mercedes. He had a passion for vintage cars.

Perhaps he was best known for his unending willingness to help those in need. He would literally give you the shirt off of his back and expect nothing in return. 

In addition to his wife, Edith, he is survived by two stepsons, Patrick Shilling and his fiancée, Brandi Womack, and Michael Shilling; two brothers, Bill Cahoon and Bryan Cahoon; a sister, Carol Cahoon; and two step grandchildren; as well as an aunt, Bobbie Johanson.  

He was predeceased by a brother, Scott Cahoon. 

There will be no services at this time.
