‘No chaos in Tryon’ as downtown, community was at its best during WEG

Downtown Tryon saw many great successes in preparations for and during the World Equestrian Games, from beautiful flowers (thanks to the many local businesses, the town of Tryon, Polk County Appearance Commission and Rotary Club of Tryon Foundation for their financial support), to a number of great outdoor concerts at Huckleberry’s.

Our downtown businesses came together and supported each other to prepare for many different scenarios that may have come with guests for the World Equestrian Games, and we had anything but chaos in our beautiful historic downtown. Our neighbors and namesake at Tryon International Equestrian Center may have had issues, as would be expected with an undertaking of that size, but the community in Tryon welcomed visitors with open arms.

In Tryon, we are looking forward to continue our efforts to show off our community to the world, and to continue to make residents proud.
