Three teachers at Saluda School recently received Be Inspired Grants from the Tryon Fine Arts Center to support creativity in the classroom. Fifth-grade teacher Ginger Rackley (left) received a grant to purchase materials for creating art projects that demonstrate understanding of science concepts. Stephanie Uhrich (center), a fourth-grade math and science teacher, will use the grant to have students participate in an artist study and creation of artwork illustrating science concepts. Third-grade teacher Brandi Drake will use the grant for materials that include sculpting 3D models of landforms and water features. (Submitted by Cari Maneen)
