A memorial service for Katharine VR Smith, who passed away on Sept. 10, 2018, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018, at Mill Farm Inn, 701 Harmon Field Road, Tryon, North Carolina. Handicapped parking will be available at the entrance to Harmon Field; additional parking will be at the Howard Gap Road entrance. 

Her daughters wish to express their gratitude to the many visitors who spent time with her, laughed with her and shared in her memories, as well as to the numerous people who called with their support and love, but could not make it in person.

Lastly, we wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills for the care and dignity with which they provided. A very special thanks to Angie and Beth, who helped her through this last journey.
