Wolverines soccer team notches road shutout at Avery

Polk County picked up its first Western Highlands Conference win on Wednesday, blanking Avery 4-0 in boys soccer action in Newland.
Isaac Edwards scored two goals and added an assist as the Wolverines improved to 5-8-1, 1-1. Avery dropped to 0-7, 0-2.
Alex Pearson and Sean Hudson added goals for Polk County, while Grayson Jones finished with an assist.
The Wolverines will be back in action on Monday, traveling to Mitchell for a 6 p.m. match.
