Simon Thompson, local ornithologist and international bird guide, will lead a guided bird walk on the Foothills Equestrian Nature Center property at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3. 

This event is free and open to the public. FENCE welcomes everyone from first-time to advanced birders to join Thompson for his walk. 

Attendees may meet at the FENCE center. Guests should dress in comfortable clothing and shoes, and bring along binoculars and local bird guides, if they have them.

This event is made possible by the Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation.
