Late goal lifts Hendersonville past Polk County soccer team

Hendersonville tallied late in the second half Wednesday to hand Polk County a 1-0 setback in a nonconference boys soccer match at Dietz Field.
The Bearcats (5-1-2) got a goal from Nathan Ellsworth in the 66th minute to earn the win.
“A close game, back and forth,” said Polk County head coach Josh Trejo. “Just didn’t go our way.”
Polk County (4-7-2) will open Western Highlands Conference play on Monday, hosting Owen at 7 p.m.
