PCHS volleyball roundup: Falcons claim varsity, JV wins

West Henderson handed Polk County a 3-1 setback Wednesday in a nonconference volleyball match in Mills River.

The Falcons earned a 25-14, 25-14, 23-25, 25-16 victory, improving to 15-2 for the season. Polk County dropped to 3-7.

Kristen Hall had seven kills and 22 digs for Polk County, with Mireya Roman adding nine kills and Meadow Becker finishing with seven blocks. Sydney Waldman had 31 assists and 12 digs, and Ansley Lynch had 20 digs.

In junior varsity play, West Henderson notched a 25-15, 25-10 win. Racheal Davis had seven digs and two kills and Emmie McDowell had seven assists for Polk.

Both Wolverine squads traveled Thursday to Avery for a Western Highlands Conference match.
