Deborah Jean Brittain, 57, of Columbus, passed away Friday evening, Sept. 7, 2018, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center following a long battle with cancer.

Born in New York City, she was the daughter of Marian Schram Mercurio of Arcadia, Florida, and the late Raymond Clifford Pulver.

She moved to the area in 2011, coming from Geneva, New York, while working for Walmart for 19 years. In her free time, she enjoyed crafts.

Surviving is her companion of six years, John Rickman; two daughters, Kristy Eddington of Seneca Falls, New York, and Megan Eddington, of Geneva; one granddaughter, Nova Lynn Adams; and step-father, Anthony “Pops” Mercurio.

At her request, no services will be held.
