TFAC recognizes Be Inspired Grant winners

In late August 2018, a group of educators from North and South Carolina gathered to receive grants from the Tryon Fine Arts Center.

More than a dozen teachers were recipients of TFAC’s Be Inspired Grant for the 2018-2019 school year. With awards of up to $500, Be Inspired Grants encourage multi-disciplinary projects that integrate art into the curriculum in creative ways.

BIG supports teachers who might otherwise purchase educational supplies with their own personal funds or be unable to provide the arts experience.

BIG will go to more than a dozen educators for 2018-2019. The award ceremony was a celebration of past projects, a chance to share ideas among colleagues and an opportunity to recognize the work happening in Carolina classrooms and the teachers inspiring young minds.

BIG is made possible by several area organizations and businesses.

TFAC is a part of the Partners in Education program of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, designed to assist arts organizations throughout the nation to develop or expand educational partnerships with local school systems.
