The Polk County Youth Football Mites improved to 2-1 with a 38-0 win Saturday at Lake Junaluska.

Styler Blackwell, Aaron Jackson and Treyvon Whiteside all scored on runs while Ivan Cunningham and Nolan Simpson had touchdown receptions.

Adam Billings led the Polk defense with a sack, and Creston Tessner and Wiley Kay provided excellent blocking on the offensive line, according to coach Shane Blackwell.

The Polk County Midgets dropped a 42-0 decision while the Termites suffered an 18-0 loss.

All three teams return home Saturday to host Bethel, with action beginning at 10 a.m.
