Steps to HOPE Participates in Gramling UMC’s 2018 Back to School Bash

Published 8:00 am Saturday, September 1, 2018

For the second year, Gramling UMC invited children and parents from Spartanburg School District 1, birth through 12th grade, for an afternoon of fun and games with many agencies from the area on hand to provide information on how families can receive the assistance they may need. Steps to HOPE participated again this year by giving out school supplies and age-appropriate information regarding domestic violence and sexual assault to the many participants who came out on Sunday, August 26.

Preventing abuse through education and supporting healthy relationships are some of the most important tasks tackled by Steps to HOPE. By participating in events like this one, Steps to HOPE representatives can get out into the community, meet families, and provide information about building healthy home relationships and crisis intervention.

Steps to HOPE is the domestic violence and sexual assault center serving and educating Western NC and Upstate SC. If you or someone you know is being abused, please call our hotline 828-894-2340 anytime.
