After a number of successful years exhibiting at St. Luke’s Hospital, Tryon Painters and Sculptors organization is again sponsoring the popular “Healing Art” exhibition. Displayed in the Outpatient hallway from the cafeteria to ICU, this collection of art by local Foothills artists opened Tuesday, Aug. 28, and runs until February 2019.
The new exhibit will feature two-dimensional art in a variety of media; paintings, drawings, photography and more. Displaying the reaches of our Foothills creativity, the subject matter runs the gamut from landscape and figurative to abstract. While these local artists are generously loaning their art, please note that most are available to purchase. A percentage of sales is contributed to the St. Luke’s Hospital Foundation which supports the hospital.
“Healing Art” has proven to be of real value to the patients, staff and visitors of St. Luke’s Hospital alike, providing “a Beauty Break” that can be a valuable addition to the recuperative process.
More than 88 pieces of art by 31 community artists will be on display at St. Luke’s Hospital for everyone’s enjoyment.
