Sharon Grindstaff Easler, 61, of Spartanburg, South Carolina, wife of 31 years to Russ Easler, was gathered into the arms of her savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, after an extended illness.

Born Jan. 15, 1957, in Forest City, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Boyce and Dorothy “Dot” Grindstaff of Forest City.

A graduate of The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a bachelor’s degree in interior design, Sharon spent her long professional life as an interior designer, helping friends and clients realize their decorating dreams at Grindstaff’s Interiors of Forest City, where she also served as a corporate officer, buyer, sales manager and display manager.

Sharon was an active member of First Baptist Church Spartanburg and a member of the Warner-Black Life Group. She enjoyed a lifetime relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her sons, Lt. Brandon Easler, U. S. Navy, San Diego, and Taylor Easler, a rising senior at Coastal Carolina University of Conway, South Carolina; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Tammy and Rodney McCracken of Forest City, and Sonjia and Andy Brand of Spartanburg. She was the loving aunt of three nephews and three nieces; two great-nephews; and a sister-in-law, Dianne Easler of Spartanburg.

A memorial service honoring her life will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at First Baptist Church Spartanburg, by The Rev. Dr. Donald J. Wilton, The Rev. Eddie Robertson and Mr. Russ Easler. Visitation will follow the service.

The family requests memorials be made to the Missions Ministry of First Baptist Church Spartanburg, 250 E. Main St., Spartanburg, SC 29306.
