The Friends of the Polk County Public Libraries’ Fall Book Sale will take place from Wednesday, Oct. 10 through Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Columbus Library, located at 1289 W. Mills St.

The first day of the sale is a special preview day for friends only from 3 to 7 p.m., exclusively for current friends and for those who join the friends that day. Membership forms will be at the book sale and also can be downloaded at polklibrary.org/support/friends.

The Friends Book Sales are the primary fundraisers for the nonprofit friends group, with all proceeds going to support library projects and initiatives such as the summer reading programs, special events, professional development opportunities for library staff, appreciation events for library volunteers and free programs for adults and children.
