The Tryon Fine Arts Center will host a celebration of one of the country’s most popular genres in a show titled Masters of Soul at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28.

Masters of Soul is a celebration of the songs and performers that defined Motown, R&B and soul music. This 90-minute show will feature costumed, fully choreographed performances of male and female groups backed by a live band.

For many, Masters of Soul is the ultimate stroll down memory lane. For younger generations, the show offers an opportunity to experience an era of the country’s history that produced many of the greatest music acts ever recorded, center representatives said.
