The 13th annual Ache Around the Lake Run/Walk — a benefit for St. Luke’s Hospital Foundation — is set for 8 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at Lake Lanier.
Ache Around the Lake is a community event that includes The Ache (8K or 5 miles) or The Ouch (2 miles). The Ache and The Ouch are open to all runners, walkers, strollers and canine friends on a leash.
The Top Dog award, provided by Bonnie Brae Veterinary Hospital, will go to the fastest canine-human team to finish the 8K Ache.
This year, Proceeds from Ache Around the Lake will fund aesthetic improvements, including furnishings, paint and décor, for the family room in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Luke’s Hospital. This renovation project will provide a warm, comforting and private space for family and guests to gather while visiting their loved one.
T-shirts will go to the first 200 registered participants.
Registration is now open. People may visit itsabouttime.run/event-registration/?ee=124 to register or learn more.
