The Meeting Place Senior Center in Columbus will  host  its semi annual fish fry and music night from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31.

Dinner will include fried fish, hush puppies, a baked potato, coleslaw, dessert and drink. Proceeds will benefit Polk County senior services, including home food delivery, activities, counseling, art and crafts, and exercise.

During the fish fry, the award-nominated bluegrass gospel group The Principles, from Johnson City, Tennessee. will perform for audiences.
