The Upstate Men’s Choir was organized in March of this year and had its’ premiere performance at the Greer Freedom Blast on June 30.
The choir consists of members from as far away as Fair Play, including men from Lyman, Spartanburg, Landrum, Simpsonville, Mauldin, Greer and Greenville.
Truly a community choir, the Upstate Men’s Choir sings a broad range of music representing everything from classical, to pop and classic rock and roll. Daytime rehearsals are suited for retired men and for those who work evenings.
The Choir will sing at several different venues this fall culminating in a concert at the Cannon Center in Greer on Sunday, Nov. 11. That concert will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the armistice ending World War I.
The Choir rehearses from 9:30-11:15 a.m. on Tuesday mornings at First Presbyterian in Greer. Rehearsals resume August 14.
