The Salvation Army of Henderson, Polk and Transylvania counties will host the third annual Red Shield Classic golf tournament.

The 18-hole event will be held on Sept. 17 at Cummings Cove Golf & Country Club. Each player will receive a boxed lunch and a bag of goodies.

There will be prizes for low net and low gross, as well as many on-course and door prizes. Proceeds from the event will benefit those in need in the tri-county area.
