Published 8:00 am Friday, August 3, 2018

The next Pea Ridge community gathering will be at 7 p.m. Thursday in the community center, located at 207 Big Level Road, 3.5 miles east of Mill Spring, just off Highway 108.

Area residents and interested persons are invited to                              attend the last ice cream social of the summer.

Those who are unable to bring a churn of homemade ice cream may instead bring fruit, toppings and a beverage. Ice and paperware will be provided.

A special collection will be taken to replenish the scholarship fund at this gathering.

Guests will hear a presentation by Margot Carter, manager of Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry Food Pantry.  Carter will give an overview of the many programs, services and needs of the Outreach Ministry.

People may bring recyclables to the center at any time on Thursday, as the Polk County recycling containers will be located inside the tennis court fence for drop-off.  The truck will pick up later that day or early on Friday, Aug. 10.

For rental of the Pea Ridge Community Center, people may call 894-3127. Those with questions may call Daryl Hardin at 894-8376.
