Addie Mae Carswell, 97, of Columbus, North Carolina, passed away on July 31, 2018. 

Addie was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Laura Taylor; her husband, John Buren Carswell; and a son, Gary Carswell.

She worked in textiles and was a member of Pea Ridge Baptist Church. Left to cherish her memory is a son, Austin Carswell of Landrum; daughters, Jeanette Rickman of Mill Spring and Sandra Crain of Rutherfordton; and a son, Nick Carswell of Spindale. Addie is also survived by a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2018, at Pea Ridge Baptist Church, Polk County, with the Rev. Jeff Parker officiating.  Online condolences may be made at crowemortuary.com.
