Edwin Hunt “Ted” Perkins died on July 28, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He was 77 years old.

Ted was born on May 31, 1941, and was the son of the late Edwin R. Perkins and Doris P. Perkins.

He is survived by his wife, Julie; and his children, Tim and Amy and their families.

Ted was a longtime member of the Columbus Fire Department and a founding member of the Polk County Gun Club.

A private burial will take place at his favorite spot on his property.
