PRO Physical Therapy welcomes new member to team

Melissa Davis is the newest clinical staff addition at PRO Physical Therapy in Columbus. 

She joins the team after a two-year stint as a staff physical therapist at Pisgah Physical Therapy in Hendersonville. Prior to that, she was assistant director of rehab services at Rutherford Regional Health System.

She has experience in orthopaedic physical therapy as well as training in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease, including certification in the LSVT BIG program. Her expertise allows her to help those facing muscle, bone and joint issues, and neurological conditions of all types, helping her clients restore mobility and function.

Melissa is accepting new patients.

Melissa earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Appalachian State University, and a master’s degree in physical therapy from Western Carolina University.

“We are excited to have another physical therapist with the excellent qualifications join our team,” said Dan LaPlaca, co-owner of PRO Physical Therapy. “She is a terrific complement to the tremendous staff already in place.”

PRO Physical Therapy is a private physical therapist owned practice serving the Foothills of western North Carolina and the upstate of South Carolina. They have been in practice since 2001, and specialize in helping those suffering from pain and impaired mobility get back to active, healthy lifestyles.

In addition to physical therapy, the business offers occupational therapy, massage and a full-service fitness facility.
