Next Wildflower Walk to take place Tuesday

Published 8:00 am Tuesday, April 10, 2018

Botanist and speaker Gillian Newberry will lead a spring wildflower walk on Tuesday at Pearson’s Falls.

The spring wildflowers are at their peak now. Newberry will name and tell specific information about each plant and talk about the unique habitat at the Glen, where we have a glimpse of a river bottom forest with a carpet of spring wildflowers.

Historically, these areas were all over the Carolinas, but Pearson’s Falls Glen is one of the few that remains intact.
