Weekly mobile recycling stop in Columbus changing locations

Polk County Solid Waste has moved the location for its weekly mobile recycling stop in Columbus.

The mobile recycling unit will now be parked on Thursdays at the end of Ward Street extension between First Citizens Bank and Feagan Law Building.

The unit will be there each week from 7 a.m. until noon or when the mobile unit becomes full.

Other stops each week for the mobile unit include:

• Mondays: Harmon Field, Tryon

• Tuesdays: Corner of Ozone Drive and Highway 176, Saluda

• Wednesdays (every other week): Green Creek Fire Department, Green Creek

All recycling must be removed from bags and be relatively clean. All products should be removed from containers prior to recycling.
