Knights of Columbus presents checks to Tryon Elementary, PCHS

In a presentation on March 28 at Polk County School District Office, The Knights of Columbus Council 9492, St John’s Tryon, presented $1,000 checks to Tryon Elementary School and Polk County High School. The money was raised locally by the knights as part of the Least Among My Brethren Foundation. The schools are allowed to use the money in any way they view as beneficial to their special needs students. The LAMB  Foundation is a statewide nonprofit run by the Knights of Columbus to aid those with intellectual disabilities. Attending the presentation were Jane Ollis, with Tryon Elementary School; Maria Freeman, with Polk County High School; and Aaron Greene, superintendent of Polk County Schools. Presenting the checks were Pete Crandall and Tom Furey, both members of the Knights of Columbus.
