Beginning Tuesday, Trace & Company started detouring northbound traffic on Trade Street in downtown Tryon because of the construction of new sidewalks. Traffic traveling toward Columbus will turn on Maple Street and then to Palmer Street. Southbound traffic, toward the state line, will not be affected. The detour will continue until further notice, according to the town of Tryon.
