Tryon Easter Egg Hunt to take place Saturday

Free event includes carnival games, 10,000 egg hunt

TRYON — Area children are invited to hunt for Easter eggs, hop on inflatables, play carnival games and visit with the Easter Bunny this weekend.

The second annual Easter EGG-Stravaganza will be held this Saturday at Harmon Field in Tryon.

The town of Tryon and sponsors make the event possible for children up to fifth grade.

There will be Easter egg hat contests, a balloon fairy and sno-cones, as well as games and the finale of the Easter egg hunt, which this year will include 10,000 eggs filled with surprises. Carolina Chiropractic will also be on hand to provide chair massages to parents while their kids play.

The hunt will be from 10 a.m. to noon at Harmon Field. The Easter Hat competition will begin at 11 a.m., with prizes for Most Easter Eggs on a hat, Biggest hat and Most Original hat.

The Easter egg hunt will begin at 11:30 a.m., with hunts for children through preschool, kindergarten-second grade and third-fifth grade.
