LANDRUM — The Bi-Lo in Landrum said, despite a lot of noise in the media about surrounding stores closing, they hope to remain open for many years to come.

Bi-Lo Landrum sent out a Facebook post over the weekend to reassure area customers they will continue to serve them to the best of their ability.

An announcement was made recently that several Bi-Los are closing, including several stores in upstate South Carolina.

Southeastern Grocers — the parent company of Bi-Lo, Harvey’s and Winn-Dixie — announced last Thursday it was closing 94 stores, with 19 of those stores being in South Carolina, including one in Spartanburg.

The Bi-Lo in Columbus closed last June, with a Tractor Supply Company planning to occupy the building soon.

“We want to reassure our loyal customers that Bi-Lo in Landrum will continue to serve you to the best of our ability, and we hope to do so for many years to come,” said the store’s Facebook post. “With that being said, please join us in sending positive thoughts and prayers to our families and friends at stores across the South  who are affected by this company decision. We want to thank each and every one of you for your continued support and business. It is our commitment to improve every single day, and to give our community the service and value you deserve.”
