Second Wind Hall of Fame offering scholarships
Published 8:00 am Thursday, March 15, 2018
Not only does the Second Wind Hall of Fame recognize outstanding volunteers — who, in retirement, have enthusiastically shared their talents and time with our community — but it also offers a yearly scholarship grant to adults who wish to further their education in their field of employment or who seek training for a new career.
The “Catch a Second Wind” scholarship can provide needed funds for an adult who:
• Is at least a high school graduate
• Has exemplary personal qualities, is a good citizen and is “deserving” and industrious
• Is already in the workplace (or has been), and has demonstrated good work ethic
• Plans to attend an accredited public or private college, university, community college or a recognized technical or vocational institution
If interested, an application may be requested by writing to SWHF Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 711, Tryon, NC 28782
