Faith & Worship: ‘God’s Been Good!’

I am not a longwinded preacher.

One may have time to cat nap but not sleep, during my sermons.  Mindful of the old saying that “the mind can absorb only as much as the bottom can endure,” I find that brevity is in order, even in these days of padded pews.

With brevity in mind, I submit the following article.

By the time this article appears in print, God willing, I will have celebrated my 67th birthday. As I look in retrospect over the quarter of a century I have lived, I must say as I heard a soloist sing in our Church recently, “God’s been good!”

Psalm 34:8 says, “Taste and see that the Lord Is Good” (New International Version). Put another way the verse says, “Find out for yourself how good the Lord Is” (Good News Bible). That’s sage advice.

I have, and from personal experience I will say without hesitation, He is!

But don’t just take my word for it, “Taste and see” and “Find out for yourself how good the Lord is.”

You’ll be glad you did.
