Foothills Humane Society offering ‘Lucky Pets Adoptions’ this weekend
In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, the Foothills Humane Society will be giving some lucky pets a chance to find a new home this weekend.
“Luck changes for the many rescues, strays, and surrenders that come here,” said Christine Taylor, Foothills Humane Society executive director. “As a private, nonprofit, no-kill shelter, we give cats and dogs, kittens and puppies any healthcare they need, comfort, and attention until we can find them a home. But we often get crowded so that’s why we’re having a ‘Lucky Pets Adoption’ event this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. On all three days, there’ll be one special low adoption fee, inspired by St. Patrick’s Day.”
On St. Patrick’s Day, Saturday, March 17, there will also be refreshments from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the shelter.
“Trained staff who really know the animals will provide personal matchmaking for adopters and the many dogs and cats who will be begging for attention,” said Susan Wallahora, FHS board president. “Every adopted cat or dog comes with a neuter or spay, up-to-date vaccinations, any illnesses identified and treated, implanted microchip, socialization by our staff, and follow-up advice. As the ultimate adoption assurance, we guarantee that if you don’t lose your heart, your pet will be welcomed back.”
