Russell John Anderson, 56, of Tryon, North Carolina, died Friday, March 9, 2018, in Pardee Hospital, Hendersonville, North Carolina.

Born in Suffern, New York, he was the son of the late William Robert and Audrey Malay Andersen. Russell enjoyed hiking in his spare time. He was employed by Texas Instruments and Bosch before moving to Tryon, North Carolina, to care for his parents. He will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Robert William Andersen, who passed away in 1986.

Surviving is a sister, Gail Kirkham (Tom) of Lindenhurst, Illinois.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2018, in McFarland Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Mary Potter officiating.
