► Our Carolina Foothills thanks commissioner

Carol Browning, with Our Carolina Foothills, attended the Polk County Board of Commissioners meeting this week to thank them for their financial support for the One Minute Ambassador program at the Isothermal Community College. Browning said county employees have attended the classes, and their morale has been exemplary.

► Polk appoints Lynch to economic tourism commission

The Polk County Board of Commissioners appointed Terry Lynch to the economic and tourism development commission. Commissioners unanimously appointed Lynch during a meeting on Monday.
