FFA tool, plant ID contest
On March 15, Isothermal will host a FFA tool and plant identification contest for Chase, East, R-S Central, Polk, North and West Henderson high schools.
The event will be held in the Foundation from 4 to 6 p.m.
The tool identification will consist of 40 tools randomly selected from a list of 200 tools. The students will have 40 minutes to identify the tools then will take a written tool test for 25 minutes.
The plant identification will consist of 20 plants randomly selected from a list of 70 plants. The students will have 20 minutes to identify the plants and then will take a written plant test for 25 minutes. This contest is a prep event to prepare the students for the regional and state contests.
Isothermal anticipates 60 to 70 students will be participating.
