Students from Polk County Early College’s Science Club are looking to win $10,000 for their school – and could use your help.
Club members recently created a pair of videos for the Biogen Foundation’s Spark Video Contest. The contest was open to all Massachusetts and North Carolina middle and high schools, and asked students to submit a video on the topic of genetic mutations.
PCEC’s submission titled “Polk Early College Sci Club Mutation ‘17,” was chosen as one of five finalists among North Carolina high schools. Public voting will be held throughout March, with the video from each category that receives the most votes during the month winning the grand prize of $10,000 and three GoPro video cameras.
Visit spark.biogenfoundation.com/fbcontests/profiletab/Spark-Video-Contest to vote.
The second video shot by PCEC won $500 for being one of the first 200 submissions in the contest.
