Saluda music group to resume rehearsals March 6

Saluda Community Singers gave a great concert last month at the Saluda Presbyterian Church to a packed crowd.
The SCS is composed of 15 to 20 singers, who come from around the Saluda area, with one dedicated member from Hendersonville and one from Sunny View. Most of the singers are in the 30- to 65-age bracket, though we have a few young children come sing with their parents.
The best thing about the Saluda Community Choir is that sharing the joy of music with the community is the highest priority, and it works. By the end of the January concert, everyone in the sanctuary was “making a joyful noise” together, and a good time was had by all.
Choir rehearsals will start back up at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6, in the Saluda Presbyterian Church fellowship hall, next to the library.
This is a community choir. You don’t need to read music or sing with perfect tone. The goal is to enjoy singing together.
The choir’s intention is to share our music with others in the community, to use our singing to bring down walls and make connections.
The Saluda Community Singers group is supported by Tryon Fine Arts, the North Carolina Arts Council and private donations.
