Now that winter is leaving the first Pea Ridge community gathering of 2018 will be Thursday, March 8, at 7 p.m. in the community center.
Area residents and interested persons are cordially invited to attend and bring finger foods and beverages to share. Ice and paperware will be provided.
The center is located at 207 Big Level Road, 3.5 miles east of Mill Spring, just off Highway 108.
You will hear Sharon Decker, chief operating officer of the Tryon International Equestrian Center, give an update of events and activities at the center during the spring and summer season. Certain to be included in her presentation are the upcoming 2018 World Equestrian Olympics which will be held there in September.
Reminders: you may bring your recyclables to the center any time, all day Thursday, March 8, as the Polk County recycling containers will be located inside the tennis court fence for your drop-off. The truck will pick up later that day or early on Friday, March 9.
